2024 PacBio STAR Grant |Submission window now closed
Empower your gene and cell therapy research
Apply to win free sequencing plus a travel stipend to enhance and promote your gene and cell therapy research
Could your research benefit from highly accurate long-read sequencing? Apply for this STAR grant! With highly accurate long reads, known as HiFi reads, you can elevate your gene and cell therapy research to the next level.
For a chance to win sequencing on one SMRT Cell 8M and a travel stipend to present at a PacBio event, describe in 100 words or less how PacBio HiFi sequencing will enhance your project's contribution to the development and understanding of gene and cell therapies. Three winners will be selected.
PacBio HiFi sequencing allows you to overcome short-read sequencing limitations in read length and enables you to:
- assess gene editing outcomes such as on- and off-target effects more extensively
- characterize insertional mutagenesis of constructs more comprehensively
- develop and optimize delivery vectors such as AAV more confidently
- study the recipient’s immune response in more detail
- identify novel targets with greater resolution
