The 2025 Immunology and Immunotherapy SMRT Grant is open!
Could your research benefit from highly accurate long-read sequencing?
Apply to win free sequencing to enhance and promote your immunology and immunotherapy research.
Could your research benefit from highly accurate long-read sequencing? Apply for this SMRT Grant! With highly accurate long HiFi reads, you can elevate your immunology and immunotherapy research to the next level.
Tell us in 100 words or less how PacBio HiFi ProfilAIR sequencing in your project will contribute to understanding the immune system and/or developing therapies for a chance to be one of three winners of sequencing on two Vega SMRT Cells. ProfilAIR can accommodate up to 72 chain-specific libraries (choose from IgM, IgG, IgK, IgL, TRB and TRA) per 2 SMRT Cells.
For example, this translates to analysis of IgG, TRB and TRA for up to 24 samples.
PacBio HiFi sequencing powers the ProfilAIR assay, offered by our co-sponsor Clareo Bio.
The first RNA-based assay for profiling complete immune receptor transcripts
Complete set of pre- and post-processing HiFi reads of IG/TCR transcripts, with sample-level data quality control reports.
Fully curated transcript data with:
- Allele-level annotation of V, D, J, and C genes (using inferred germlines)
- Isotype, subisotype, and C gene allele-level assignment
- Clone assignment
- Annotation of CDRs, FWRs, and 5’ untranslated regions
- Isotype-, subisotype-, and allele-level V, D, and J gene usage profiles
Details on how to apply
We encourage scientists of any level to apply! Simply complete the short form on this page and include your 100-word proposal. You can read the official rules or reach out to Nadia Sellami, PacBio Global Segment Lead, about this SMRT Grant. The submission window closes Friday, January 16, 2026 at 5:00 PM PST.
